The McRae Spring Carnival has been a staple in Searcy for many, many years. Unfortunately, with the COVID-19 pandemic, it was canceled the past two years. However, this year, our PTO brought the carnival back in full force. Our students and their families were finally able to experience the excitement and tradition of a McRae Carnival!
This year, our carnival was better than ever before! With the help of PTO and our students’ amazing fundraising efforts, the carnival was a free event. We had over 700 in attendance plus countless teachers, parents, and volunteers. Our students and their families had the opportunity to visit 15 different booths, enjoy a hotdog supper, and buy a Kona Ice sno cone to benefit future events at McRae Elementary.
We would like to thank several individuals and organizations who made this event possible. Libby Yancey, our PTO President, was instrumental in planning the carnival. Without her leadership, this event would not have been possible.
