Kindergarten is so excited to visit the pumpkin patch tomorrow!
Our kindergarten students are wrapping up Module 1 of Wit & Wisdom and they have learned SO much about their five senses! The final book of the Module was Rap a Tap Tap: Here's Bojangles Think of That! by Diane Dillon and Leo Dillon. After learning all about the joy that Bojangles spread through tap dancing, our kindergarteners were able to celebrate with a special tap performance by Ryan Williams and Aubrey Morris of Irby Dance Studio! Mr. Ryan not only performed but he also taught the students some tap rhythms and steps! Kindergarten students were especially surprised to learn that Mr. Ryan is a former McRae kindergarten student himself! Thank you Mr. Ryan for coming BACK to McRae to teach us about tap dancing and to spread some joy yourself!
Our teachers are lifelong learners working to gain knowledge to bring back for our students and fellow educators. This week several of our teachers are in Hot Springs at the 2022 APSRC fall conference, Ignite 22. This year, APSRC’s annual fall conference is focusing on the ways to ignite hope, learning, and growth in Arkansas’s educators and students.
This Friday is Homecoming! Let's share our Searcy pride by wearing red & black! The most spirited class will win a special Homecoming prize. Go Lions!
Tomorrow is 3rd grade STEAM Day from 9:00-12:00. Wear blue or dress up as your favorite ocean creature. We have so many fun activities planned including squid dissection and shark tooth necklace making and etching.
Mark your calendars! You will receive more information from your child's teacher in the coming weeks.
Ms. Karen, Ms. Tammy, and Mr. Tyler keep our school sparkling! Happy National Cudtodian Day!
Ms. King’s class examined colors in the “Sky Tree” paintings during Wit & Wisdom today! Each group worked together to pick 5 colors for their painting, give their reasoning, and determine what season their tree was from! 🎨🌳🍁
Our teachers stayed late on Monday for a faculty meeting. Our amazing PTO provided coke floats for our meeting.
Wear BLUE on Monday, October 3rd as we stand together against bullying!
