International Dot Day was inspired by the children’s book
The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. This year we will celebrate International Dot Day at McRae Elementary on Friday, September 15, with EVERYONE wearing dots. By wearing dots this day we would like to show our community that we believe in these two important lessons:
Don’t let fear keep you from being creative.
And to leave our marks on those that are around us by being encouraging, being kind, and being helpful.
Together with your child, create a DOT DAY outfit by using paint, markers, stickers, or whatever you find, and count all those dots! Let your student wear their outfit on Friday Sept 15, and send a note with the number of dots your child is wearing. The class wearing the most dots will win a prize! Thank you so much for participating in this fun day at McRae!

We have a number of students who partiicpate in our local football league! Saturday morning will be an eventful day at Lion Stadium! Eddie's BBQ is serving breakfast and lunch. Admission is free but donations for Optimist Pee Wee league are certainly welcome!
