Yesterday we learned that kindergarten teacher Tammy Wheat has been selected as this year‘s Searcy teacher of the year! We are thrilled that Tammy has been recognized in this way. If you know her, you know she is a leader, a teammate, and a role model for our students. Today is Purple Up Day! During the Month of the Military Child, Purple Up! Day on April 15th recognizes some of the military's most unsung heroes - their children. The day encourages everyone to wear purple representing all branches of the military and showing unity with each other.

And the winner is…. Ms. Brooks 2nd grade class! We had a great response to our all for books coin challenge! Our winning class received a new bundle of books from the Book Fair! Sharing the fair to include all is one of our favorite parts of the fair each semester!❤️
We love the interactive experiences students participate in while in Mrs.J’s class! Ms.Brooks’ 2nd grade students have been working on building and designing inventions that improve our lives!

Searcy Schools will be gifting all students of active military families with a special tee shirt to wear. We have a list of students who have previously been identified as having an immediate family member (father, mother, or sibling) currently serving on active duty. However, we do not want to leave anyone out. We want to honor all of the students who qualify. If your child is part of an active military family, please respond to the attached form.
