It was a fun day of learning on the History of Searcy Tour for these 4th graders! They made connections and enjoyed seeing many of the places they have been researching for their Next Level projects. Thank you to Amy Burton (Main Street Searcy), Shelly Churchwell & Scott Akridge (White County Historical Society), and The Watson Center & Dr. Claxton (Harding University) for hosting this group and sharing your vast knowledge! We are grateful for community members who are willing to take time to teach our students.

Thank you to Mayor Mat and the City of Searcy for hosting these students at City Hall. They learned about city government, exciting new projects in Searcy, and they participated in a mock City Council meeting. It was a great learning experience!

The Southwest Middle School Robotics team is researching lionfish for their innovation project as a part of the LEGO First Robotics Competition. We are making daily observations about whether or not the Fish Bowl's lionfish, named Wilson, interacts with the different structures we place in his tank.
If you have a chance to go by The Fish Bowl to see the lionfish, please share your observations with us!
