Searcy School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education approved Dr. Bobby Hart’s recommendation at last night’s regularly scheduled board meeting to fill the Westside Elementary School principal position . Bethany Philpot will serve as the campus’s principal for the 2024-2025 school year.
Philpot is an experienced educator with twelve years serving the Searcy School District as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and has most recently acted as a literacy facilitator for the district. She also teaches at Harding University as adjunct faculty in the education department.
Philpot resides in Searcy with her husband Garrett and their children Bonnie and Deason. Congratulations to Mrs. Philpot for her appointment to this position, and the district is confident she will use her unique leadership qualities and knowledge to empower and positively influence the students and staff at Westside Elementary School.
