The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith has an amazing opportunity for juniors that are interested in Early Childhood Education. The deadline to apply is April 15th. Students that are chosen to participate in the program will receive a stipend to attend a 5-week summer program and earn college credit. This program is 100% free. Students will receive free food and lodging while on campus as well as mileage reimbursement. Students will also:
\r\n- have an on-campus college experience for 5 weeks
- complete hours and support to obtain their CDA (a nationally recognized credential in early childhood)
- receive a free laptop (if they complete both summer sessions)
- participate in setting up developmentally appropriate classrooms in a new childcare center
- complete observation hours in a childcare setting
- meet new friends from across the state of Arkansas
- enjoy evening activities
