Students at Ahlf Junior High School and Searcy High School are provided with additional food and beverage options in the cafeteria, well above and beyond the typical "school meal"! Due to this increase in choices, it is part of the online meal payment system (My Payments Plus) to provide parents with a "parental control" feature to customize student spending.
When making online deposits at www.mypaymentsplus.com, there are two available accounts to choose from for deposits: Meal and General. Any funds deposited into the Meal account may only be spent on complete "meals" (such as the Main Line Lunch, Meal Deal, Salad Bar/Chef Salad meals) and are not expendable for individual a la carte items (such as bottled beverages, packaged snacks and single entrees or sides). Any funds deposited into the General account may be spent on ANY items sold in the cafeteria, including meals. This feature allows for parents to deposit all money in the Meal account (if no extras are desired) or to divide deposits between the two accounts, (if it is desired that the student only be allowed to spend a certain amount on these "extra" items).
If it does not matter to the parent what items are purchased, however, deposits should be made to the General account. If you have any questions about this or would like to request a "transfer" of some of your child's funds from one account to the other, please contact your school's cafeteria manager or Charlotte Davis, Child Nutrition Director, at (501) 268-3517. You may also e-mail her at cdavis@searcyschools.org.
Thank you!
