Attention seniors who do art, sing, dance, act, creative writing, make films and design fashion. The Thea Foundation’s 20 year old scholarship competition awards 36 scholarships from $10,000 to $3000 to talented seniors. They have awarded close to $3 million in scholarships to deserving Arkansas high school seniors.
\r\nThe Foundation's mission is "To advocate the importance of the arts in the development of our youth.” The scholarships are based purely on the talent of the students, not on test scores or grade points, and the winners are not required to major in an art form. Thea is totally inclusive! The competitions are accomplished online giving students across the state of Arkansas the opportunity to compete over the Internet.
\r\nThe former 600 Thea's scholarship winners over the past 20 years have gone to college and are now teachers, doctors, architects, preachers, counselors, and many other professions.
