First Electric is accepting applications for our 2023 Operation Round-Up scholarship program. Nine $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to area high school seniors. To apply, the seniors must be scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2023, and their parents or guardians must be members of First Electric. Applications can be found online at https://www.firstelectric.coop/scholarships. The deadline to apply is May 1.
REMINDER - a second Meningitis MCV4 immunization is required by the state of Arkansas once a student turns 16 years of age.

Our Mario Kart team is the only Searcy esports team still in the playoffs. Both Smash Bros and Madden worked hard to make the top 16, but unfortunately lost. The Semifinal round will be Tuesday at 4 PM. It will be against the very formidable Valley View High School, the only team that has managed to beat us last year. Over the last 5 times we have won the match up 3 times. So it should be a tough one and the winner will be heavily favored to go on to win the state championship next Friday.

April is the month of the military child. Tomorrow, April 19, Searcy School District is celebrating some of the military's most unsung heroes-the military children. All students and staff are invited to help us celebrate our military families by wearing purple. We are grateful to the service of these men and women and their whole families!

Per Ark. Code Ann. §§ 20-7-109, 6-18-702, 6-60-501 - 504, and 20-78-206, a 2nd MCV4 immunization is required when a student turns 16 years old. Searcy High School & the White Co. Health Dept. will offer an immunization clinic at school on May 12, 2023. Immunization packets will be sent home with students who are eligible and need the immunization. Forms are due back on May 5, 2023. Contact SHS nurse Amy Dutton at 501-268-8315 for any questions or concerns. Forms will be available from the school nurse if needed. Thank you.
