SHS Semester Test Schedule
May 21 - 24, 2024
A drive-through food pantry will be open tomorrow at Lion Stadium!
Summer School will be Friday, May 31 through Friday, June 14 and is designed for the purpose of credit recovery only. Classes will be self-paced allowing students to complete the courses before the end of the summer school term if they put forth the necessary time and effort.
A normal summer school week will be Monday-Friday. Classes will begin at 8:00 A.M. Lunch will be provided for the students or they may bring their lunch.
Transportation for summer school is available on a as needed basis. Buses will run necessary routes in the morning to pick up students and return students home after the afternoon session. If transportation is needed for your child, please mark it below.

This week, students in grades 9 through 11 will start submitting their course requests. Updated materials and helpful resources are now available on the Searcy High School Counselors webpage, accessible at https://bit.ly/shs_scheduling. On Tuesday, 1st period teachers will distribute Pre-Registration Sheets and Course Credit Sheets to all students. Take a moment to review these documents with your child and discuss their course choices for the upcoming year.

ATTENTION: SHS Seniors,
We've confirmed the participation of 24 employers for the You're Hired event. Together, they offer approximately 40 different job listings, each seeking candidates for multiple positions within those listings. Please review the list of employers participating, job listings, and business white pages.
The next step is to start collecting resumes from students. Upon submission, students will be prompted to select three preferred options for job applications. We have a team who will develop the schedule for interviews. The schedule of interviews will be communicated to you the week before the event.
When students submit their resumes, they will also be required to complete a Photo Release/Resume Release Form. This form authorizes all pertinent parties, including but not limited to the participating schools, Arkansas State University-Beebe Searcy Campus, the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Department of Workforce Services, to share the student's resume and facilitate connections with prospective employers on behalf of the student. Interviews will not be scheduled until the the Release Form is submitted
