Searcy School District is pleased to announce that Searcy High School senior Gaby Sledge has been named a 2023 National Merit Semifinalist. Sledge is the daughter of Joe and Tricia Sledge. She is one of 16,000 Semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program who scored high on the PSAT. Sledge will compete along with other academically high achieving students for approximately 7,250 National Merit Scholarships totaling nearly $28 million. The finalists will be announced through nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July. Searcy School District will honor Gaby at a reception later this fall. Congratulations to Gaby Sledge for this outstanding achievement!

New Course Offering for High School Students!
Searcy High School has added a new course called Critical Reading I for the 2022-2023 school year. Critical Reading I is a two-semester course designed to accelerate reading growth by strengthening comprehension outcomes.
This is not a remediation course, but an elective course to help students. Students who pass this course will receive one elective credit. If you are interested in having your child sign up for this course, please go to https://bit.ly/3Pz27Y and complete the the Google Form.
