Be on the lookout this week for a September Calendar. This will be used for our September Reading Challenge. This challenge is optional, but our goal at Westside is to get our students to read 15 minutes a day OUTSIDE our school walls. Those who complete the challenge will receive a free book!! ~ Mrs. Kim

Students are checking out books in the library starting today!. Students in grades 1-3 will check out two books per week and are allowed to take them home to read with family (Kindergarten check out one book per week). Books are due back the following week on library day and must be returned for the student to be able to check out new books. If a student wants to keep a book an extra week they certainly can! Parents will be notified if a book is overdue, lost, or damaged. REMINDER: Don't place water bottles in backpacks. Leaky bottles and books don't mix well. 😀
