Reenergized Searcy Public Schools Education Foundation to Honor Three
Two educators and one Searcy High School alumnus will be inducted into the revitalized Searcy Public Schools Education Foundation Hall of Honor on January 31, 2025.
The Searcy Public Schools Education Foundation has been inactive since 2018, but has recently revitalized with new board members and leadership. As part of the reenergized organization, the Hall of Honor will hold a celebratory reception at Lion Arena beginning at 5:30pm with the recognition of the honorees taking place between the Lady Lion and Lion basketball games against Batesville. Tickets are $20.00 per person and include entrance to the reception and the ballgames. Tickets may be purchased online at gofan.co and by typing Searcy High School, at the gate on the night of the event, or by mailing a check or cash in advance to the following:

Being honored in 2025 are late husband and wife long-time educators Danny and Eloise Shedd, who taught mathematics and English respectively at Searcy High School, and Judge Robert Edwards, a 1965 alumnus of Searcy High School.
The honorees were selected from nominations submitted by the public and voted on by the foundation.

Each honoree represents the spirit of excellence and service that defines the heart of Searcy education."
