Congratulations to the Searcy High School theatre troupe for earning honors at the State Thespian Festival held in Jonesboro last weekend! The SHS troupe was recognized as a Gold Honor Thespian Troupe and qualified to attend National Thespian Festival. The following students received top honors: Costume Design - Emely Truong (Superior);Costume Construction - Stella Engel (Excellent);Duet Acting - Caleb Raper & Emily Provence (Excellent);Solo Musical - Vannah Brown (Excellent);Tech Challenge - Stella Engel, Marissa Hughey, Nyeli Trujillo, Aiden Morrissey (Excellent);Chloe Long - $400 Nancy Brown Student Leadership Scholarship;Emely Truong -SCAD scholarship offer;State Thespian Officer - Emily Provence; All State Cast - Emily Provence and Kennedy Harr; All State Crew - Nyeli Trujillo; and Honor Thespian - Emely Truong. The SHS Drama Troupe is under the direction of Mrs. Mandy Taylor.
