Barrett

Searcy School District superintendent Diane Barrett submitted her retirement resignation effective June 30, 2021, tonight at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting. Barrett is currently serving in her eleventh year in the Searcy School District and her 45th year in education.

In her letter to the Board of Directors, Barrett stated “I  appreciate the opportunity you have afforded me to serve this truly outstanding school district for these eleven years. I have been blessed to work with an amazing staff, a progressive community, and most importantly, our greatest resource, the students.”

Searcy School District has been extremely fortunate to have a leader who is not only an expert in the field of education, but who also puts what is in the best interest of the district first. Her leadership abilities, dedication to her profession, and love for students are why the Searcy School District continues to exhibit its legacy of excellence in education. We wish Superintendent Barrett the very best as she completes her tenure with the Searcy School District and her career in education and moves toward her retirement which will include much more time spent with family and loved ones.
