Searcy schools cardiac response teams are training this week with the assistance of Charles Wooley, of Arkansas Children's Hospital, Northstar EMS, Searcy Fire Dept., and Searcy PD. Each campus is in training to respond in an adequate amount of time to a cardiac arrest. All campuses will be recognized as a Heart Safe School through ACH and Project ADAM. Tammy Bishop is our Health Services Director. We are grateful for supportive community agencies who keep our students and staff safe!

Searcy Special School District August Board Meeting Review
We are reaching out to parents who have students who ride our buses. Did you know you can sign up for the parent portal easily, so you will know that your child is currently on the bus and when to expect him/her at home? We have a number of students who partiicpate in our local football league! Saturday morning will be an eventful day at Lion Stadium! Eddie's BBQ is serving breakfast and lunch. Admission is free but donations for Optimist Pee Wee league are certainly welcome!

August 25 Home Football Game Announcement
United Way of White County recently held its annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive. Board member Blake Schrepfer brought supplies to Searcy School District for students who may have needs. He is shown making the presentation to Searcy School District employees Christine Harrell, homeless liasion; Chris Spearn, 504 coordinator; Natalie Gosdin, special education supervisor; and Dr. Caroline Nail, assistant superintendent. We are always grateful for our supportive community and its organizations!
