SHS Wrestling team is exhibiting the holiday spirit by providing Christmas for two "angels" on the Angel Tree list. Way to go, SHS wrestling team, for your kind hearts and willingness to help others!
Congratulations to SHS drama students Kennedy Harr and Alicia Cruz. Harr was named the Poetry Out Loud champion and Cruz earned the runner up position. Both will represent SHS at the State Poetry Out Loud competition on March 16.

Searcy Bands will play their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 2 at 2 pm in the SHS Performing Arts Center. The 7th grade band will begin at 2:00, the 8th grade band will play around 2:20, and the HS band will play around 2:40. Come celebrate the season with us!
Please join members of the SHS Choirs as they highlight their individual talents at the Holiday Coffee House and Talent Showcase in the HS cafeteria on Thursday night from 6:00 PM-8:30 PM. Admission is $5.00. There will be coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods available for purchase. All proceeds from the refreshments will go to help us adopt a senior citizen for Christmas.
Mickey Gentry of Modern Woodmen of America makes a $500 donation to the Searcy Orchestra Program. Director Megan Guthrie and the 8th grade orchestra accept the donation. Thank you, Mr. Gentry! The donation will be used to fund summer camp scholarships and other needs.
Searcy Learning Center prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal for district officials on Tuesday. The food was delicious! We wish all our students and their families a very happy Thanksgiving!
