Congratulations to the SHS Marching Lion Band for their performance at the Region IV Marching Band Assessment at Lion Stadium. The band earned first division ratings from all judges. Great job!

Due to excessive rain, we will be running two flood routes this afternoon. Buses 30 & 43 will be running flood routes today and tomorrow unless otherwise notified. Additionally, Bus 50 will be running approximately 15 minutes later than its normal time this afternoon.

We will hold P/T conferences Tuesday, Oct 16 for grades 7-12 from 3:15-7:15 P.M. and conferences for grades K-6 on Thurs, Oct. 18 from 3:15-7:15 P.M. School will dismiss at 2:30 P.M. both days. Also, there will be no school on Fri, Oct 19 due to teacher professional development.

Congratulations to SHS Lionstepper coach Amanda Simpson for being named the Sideline Dance Coach of the Year by B2 Cheer and Dance! Coaches of the Year received a plaque, Lionstepper program donation, and Visa gift card.

AJHS students Ashlyn Bottoms & Taffi Adams along with Amy Bottoms are volunteering their time at Get Downtown. So happy we have students who are community minded and assist in our great hometown!


SHS Choir will be performing at Get Down Downtown in the pavilion at Spring Park at 11:00 on Saturday. Bring your families to hear some fun tunes by Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Greatest Showman, and Imagine Dragons!

Athletic Update: Today's SHS volleyball match originally scheduled for 4 P.M. in Searcy has been moved to 5 P.M.

Searcy School District transportation will be running two flood routes tomorrow, Sept. 25. Buses 30 & 43 will be running flood routes. Thank you.

Athletic Update: Today's tennis match with Marion has been postponed due to rain. It is tentatively rescheduled for Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in Searcy.

SHS Mom's Squad will be selling phone grips at the merchandise table prior to the home football games. This is a fundraiser for the Mom's Squad, and phone grips may be purchased for $10.
