Lake Hamilton hosted the 2024 Arkansas Young Playwright Competition, and Searcy High School theatre dept. won BEST PLAY! Congratulations to playwright Linus Beauman and his cast & crew for winning Best Play with their outstanding production of "What a Mess!" and finalist Sara Bremmon and her cast and crew as well for a terrific performance of her original play "The Truth!" The SHS Theatre Dept. is under the direction of Mandy Taylor.
Congratulations to Searcy High School FCCLA officer Alyssa Hazelwood for receiving the Frances Rudd Scholarship at the AR State Leadership Conference. This scholarship is bestowed to a student pursuing a degree in FCS education. Great job Alyssa!!
