Two Searcy High School theatre students, Linus Beauman and Sara Bremmon, have been selected as finalists in the 2023-24 Arkansas Young Playwrights Competition for original one act plays they each wrote and submitted. The final competition will take place on Saturday, April 13, at Lake Hamilton High School. Congratulations to Linus and Sara! They are under the direction of Mrs. Mandy Taylor.
Searcy School District is off to a great start for the second semester of school! We want to remind our families to make sure you have the most current contact information on file at your child’s campus, so you are sure to receive any communication from Searcy School District.
With winter weather in the forecast, we also want to remind you how we broadcast information regarding school closings. In the event we have to close school or run a different schedule, our families and staff members will be notified via text message and voice call. We will place the closure information on Channels 4, 7, and 11, radio, and our social media pages.

Congratulations to the Searcy Lady Lions for being the Beebe Holiday Tournament Champions! The Lady Lions defeated Brookland (38-35), Beebe (53-31), and Nettleton (46-43) in the finals to win the tournament. Way to go, Lady Lions! The Lady Lions are coached by Kim Sitzmann and assisted by Hunter Southerland. They will host Paragould at Lion Arena on Friday, January 5. Go Lions and Lady Lions!

We have BIG news! Searcy High School Lady Lions wrestling team has been ranked nationally by USA Wrestling! The Lady Lions will compete in the Battle of the Bling this weekend. Congratulations to these student athletes and their coaches!

The SHS Unified Sports teams participated in the Unified Champion Schools Bowling Competition at Professor Bowl in Little Rock last Thursday. The unified team of Kayden Holowell, Trenton Tyson, William Killough and Dalyn Hamilton will move on to compete at the AAA State Bowling Tournament in Jonesboro on February 7th, 2024. Congratulations to SHS!
