The SHS Unified Sports teams participated in the Unified Champion Schools Bowling Competition at Professor Bowl in Little Rock last Thursday. The unified team of Kayden Holowell, Trenton Tyson, William Killough and Dalyn Hamilton will move on to compete at the AAA State Bowling Tournament in Jonesboro on February 7th, 2024. Congratulations to SHS!

Today was Shark Tank Day at SWMS! What innovative and helpful products our students crafted!
SHS & AJHS GATE girls had the opportunity to attend a lunch & learn with American Studies Institute speaker Ilya R. Espino de Marotta, deputy administrator of the Panama Canal Authority, today. She spoke with our students about women in STEM and how to be difference makers. Big thanks to Harding University for extending the invitation!

Congratulations to the Sidney Deener child nutrition staff for being the 2023 recipient of the Golden Gobbler award! Kitchens across the district competed for the "best" turkey and dressing and fixings at our annual Thanksgiving meal, and Deener took the award! Love the fun our child nutrition dept. has all the time. And ALL meals were AMAZING!!

Searcy School District Board Meeting Review
Congratulations to the SHS Competitive Cheer Squad for earning 1st place and being named Grand Champion in the Southern Spirit Federation event at Bank of the Ozarks arena in Hot Springs last Saturday! The squad competed in the 5/6A Game Day Division, and placed 1st out of 9 total teams while also earning the highest score in Crowd Leading! SHS Competitive Cheer is coached by Shannon Holeyfield. Great job!
