Congratulations to the Jr. High Quiz Bowl Team for winning 2nd Place in the 6A East Junior High Quiz Bowl Tournament. Noah Eubanks earned the the MVP and All/Tournament team. They will advance to the state tournament on Feb. 8. The jr. high team is coached by Chance George.
We will be out of school on Monday, January 20 in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Enjoy the long weekend.
We would like to remind our families that award-winning children's author,Julia Cook, will be speaking at a parent night Tuesday, January 14th,at 6:30 P.M., on behavior, mental health, and life skills. Children are welcome to attend, but it is not required. The parent night will be held at the SHS Performing Arts Center, and the doors will open at 6:00 P.M. Flyer attached.

TAKE STATE t-shirts and game tickets are ready for pickup at Searcy High School and Searcy Schools Administration Office. T-shirts and tickets will only be available at SHS until 2:30 P.M. today. GO LIONS!!!
Due to a power line being down, buses 56 & 49 may not be able to get through to all pickup locations. We are doing the best we can to pick up all of those students. Contact transportation office at 268-6954 for more information.
Ticket Information--State Championship game tickets are currently on sale. Searcy School District receives 80% of the proceeds if purchased in advance. Tickets are on sale at SHS and Searcy Schools Administration Office. $7.00 for adults and $6.00 for students. Advanced tickets must be purchased by 2:30 P.M. on Friday. Tickets purchased at War Memorial Stadium are $7.00 for all.
Saturday's game at War Memorial Stadium is the first time SHS Lions have advanced to the championship game since 1984. We invite and encourage 1984 team members to join us at the pep rally on Friday, Dec. 6 at 5:30pm to be recognized.
